Atlanta Falcons bring girls flag football to LaGrange High School – WLTZ

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A local high school will launch its girls flag football program this fall.

LaGrange High School was one of 42 Georgia high schools selected to receive grants from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation to start a girls’ flag football program.

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) approved girls’ flag football as an official high school sport in December 2019, making Georgia the fourth state to do so.

More than 260 schools in Georgia and more than 110 schools in Alabama will participate this year.
