Three children and an adult were found dead in a “suspicious” car on a hiking trail, according to Georgia police

Georgian authorities say three children and a man were found dead in a public park, in what police are investigating as a possible murder-suicide.

An officer was patrolling around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, and came across a “suspicious” car parked on a trail at Lucky Shoals Park in Tucker, Gwinnett County police said in a news release.

After calling and receiving no response, the officer approached the vehicle and found four bodies inside.

The driver was a man, police said. According to authorities, the children, two girls and a boy, appeared to be of elementary and middle school age.

None of the victims have been publicly identified pending notification of next of kin.

Police did not provide further details but said the incident was under investigation.

Tucker is located approximately 15 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.
