YouTuber Ben Potter, AKA Comicstorian, died at the age of 40 after an accident

YouTubers Ben Potter – AKA, Comicstorian – has died suddenly… and it sounds like a freak accident.

The wife of the content creator, Natalieconfirmed the tragic news on Monday and wrote a loving tribute to the online star … who had amassed over 3 million subscribers by discussing the Marvel/DC universes and creating comic book radio plays.

Two days ago, on June 8th, my husband Ben Potter passed away in an unfortunate accident.

For many of you, he was a comic storyteller who told stories from a variety of media. For his loved ones, he was one of the best and most helpful people you could wish for. …

Nathalie wrote: “Two days ago, on June 8th, my husband Ben Potter passed away in a sad accident. To many of you, he was a comic storyteller who told stories from many different mediums. To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive people you could wish for.”

She added: “As a husband, son, brother, friend or even just a stranger, Ben was loving and genuine. He was someone who listened and made time for his loved ones. He did his best to make everyone laugh and make sure they were OK. He was our rock and reassured his loved ones whenever they needed it.”

She asked for some time to be with friends and family to calmly grieve the loss of Ben and figure out what to do next.

Nathalie has already thought about continuing Ben’s legacy on YouTube… especially since it is one of his greatest achievements that took him over 10 years to build.



Nathalie concluded: “We supported each other in everything we wanted to do and I have no plans to stop now.”

Others also paid tribute to Ben on the Internet – Ice cubes‘s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr.expressed his regret over the news, while the comic book author Scott Snyder shared his shock, noted Ben’s infectious love of comics and how great it was to be around him.



Ben posted his last upload, titled “Why DC’s Reboots Beat Marvel,” just one day before his death. He was 40.
