Bijan Robinson will be used frequently in the Falcons’ offense, says HC Morris

Atlanta Falcons second-year running back Bijan Robinson has already been one of the top targets for fantasy football managers this year, but a recent comment from new head coach Raheem Morris will be music to their ears.

According to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, Morris said Tuesday that you can certainly expect a heavy dose of Robinson this season, as he will be the linchpin of the Falcons’ offense:

Robinson, who was selected No. 8 in the 2023 NFL Draft, appeared in all 17 games last year and recorded 214 carries for 976 yards and four touchdowns, while also catching 58 passes for 487 yards and four more scores.

Despite the solid numbers, fans believed Robinson could have accomplished even more if former head coach Arthur Smith had truly given him free reign. It sounds like he’ll get that chance with Morris in charge.

Robinson will also benefit from the presence of veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, who signed with the Falcons this offseason after playing the past six seasons for the Minnesota Vikings. Atlanta’s offense should take a big leap this year with the four-time Pro Bowler at quarterback.

It’s safe to say that Robinson should be targeted early in the first round of fantasy football drafts in 2024.
