Fulton High School student admits to touching a classmate and attempting to sexually assault another on the same day

FULTON, NY (WSYR-TV) — A student at G. Ray Bodley High School has admitted to police that he inappropriately touched a classmate and attempted to sexually assault another classmate earlier in the day.

A Fulton police spokesman said the investigation revealed that the 15-year-old suspect first violently touched a classmate during class on the morning of May 13.

Later that day, the same student is accused of taking another female classmate into a small room next to the gym and attempting to sexually assault her. Police say there are no cameras in that area.

School administrators contacted the district school liaison officer, who referred the investigation to other law enforcement officials.

Both victims provided information to the police. The police spokesman said the suspect confessed to the allegations in a conversation with officers.

Because of his age, police have not released the student’s name. His case will be heard in Family Court, where he was arraigned on May 31.

The student is accused of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child for the first incident. For the second incident, he is charged with attempted sexual abuse, false imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.

Brian Pulvino, superintendent of the Fulton City School District, issued the following statement to his district:

“We are aware of media reports of a serious incident of alleged sexual assault that occurred at G. Ray Bodley High School on May 13, 2024.

For reasons of student protection, we cannot comment on the specific information contained in the media report.
