A rapist who told a teenager she would “get in trouble” if she told anyone she had been attacked has been jailed.

Robert Llewellyn Price, from Amlwch, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on Thursday (6 June) where he was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison for two counts of rape.

The 36-year-old was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life.

The victim, who was 16 at the time, reported the incidents to the police in April of this year.

After luring her to his home twice, Price raped the victim both times before she later told him she was afraid she was pregnant.

He told her that he would “get in trouble” if she told anyone.

After the victim reported the attacks, Price fled but was later arrested on a cliff top in Amlwch and remanded in custody.

Detective Sergeant Mark Dickson said: “This was a horrific incident for this young girl who showed extraordinary bravery in reporting Price’s crimes.

“I commend her courage and strength throughout the case.

“I hope she can now focus on getting on with her life, knowing that Price will now be held accountable for these shameful attacks.

“I would encourage any victim of sexual abuse to come forward, knowing that we will do everything in our power to prosecute the perpetrators.”
