Teenager dead, investigation into shooting ongoing

EUFAULA, Alabama (WRBL) — The Eufaula Police Department (EPD) is investigating a fatal shooting Monday afternoon near Spruce Circle.

According to EPD, officers received a call at approximately 2:27 p.m. that shots had been fired in the area of ​​Spruce Circle. Officers found a juvenile with a gunshot wound at the scene. The juvenile was taken to Barbour Medical Center and later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities say they are still gathering information, but this appears to be an isolated case.
