Man jailed for raping and abusing girls aged between six and 13

The heinous abuse took place in his home, where he targeted young girls, all between the ages of six and 13, at sleepovers.

Walker was found guilty of raping a girl and of engaging in lewd and lascivious practices during torture on all five of his victims.

He forced two girls to watch pornographic material before touching them inappropriately, including entering the room of his victims, who were in various stages of undress.

Walker also watched one of his victims while she pretended to sleep and exposed himself to several young girls and performed sexual acts on them.

He was found guilty on seven counts and was placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely, in addition to his 12-year prison sentence.

Katrina Parkes, Scotland’s sex offender prosecutor at the High Court, said: “Anthony Walker posed a danger to young girls for many years. He abused his position of trust in the most terrible way.”

“In our work for this conviction, we focused primarily on the trauma these victims have suffered.

“The fact that Walker has now been brought to justice is due to the bravery of those affected by Walker’s crime. They should be commended for their courage and bravery.

“We would like to encourage all victims of similar crimes to come forward – regardless of how much time has passed.

“We will listen to you and seek justice. We will ensure that people are protected from crime and that those responsible are identified and held accountable.”
