ITS World Congress 2025 in Atlanta will look to tomorrow

The theme for ITS World Congress 2025, hosted by ITS America and produced by RX in Atlanta, Georgia, will be “Deploy Today, Empower Tomorrow.”

The theme was chosen to reflect the fact that the ITS sector is actively deploying technologies aimed at building safer roads and a stronger economy for the future. “Our industry is investing in innovation to build stronger, more resilient transportation infrastructure to meet the needs of communities,” said Laura Chace, president and CEO of ITS America.

The event, which takes place every three years in North America, rotating with Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, takes place August 24-28 at the Georgia World Congress Center .

Ramin Massoumi, Arcadis Global Solutions Director – Mobility, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for ITS World Congress 2025 and Arcadis will be a key sponsor of the event.

Participants will be able to attend numerous tours and demonstrations highlighting ITS developments.

Metro Atlanta is the site of a world-renowned ITS “living lab,” Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners, which showcases autonomous vehicles, 5G Vehicle to Everything (V2X) cellular technology, street lights and smart signals, among other technologies .

The Georgia Department of Transportation has deployed the largest V2X network in the United States, covering 1,200 signalized intersections and is expanding its investments in the interstate system.

ITS America says the city of Atlanta is investing $168 billion in transportation funding for safer roads and highways, expanding access to public transportation, and supporting active pedestrian mobility and bicycle accessibility .
