Daniel Cuvet named Freshman All-American; First Alert: June 11, 2024

It was no surprise for the star freshman at third base to be named a Freshman All-American, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced Monday afternoon.

He was listed along with 34 other top freshmen in the country, but he was the standout of the group. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound freshman was the first UM freshman to lead his club in average (.351), home runs and RBI.

He was also named an ACC All-Freshman in his historic first season for the Green, Orange and White. He has announced that he will return to the program and he appears to be a top prospect for the upcoming MLB Draft, certain to move into the first round with another impressive season.
