Farage’s Reform UK wants £40 billion tax cut, financed by QE reform

Reform, which was third in pre-election opinion polls and added to the ruling Conservatives’ problems, called for a £20,000 annual threshold above which people would have to pay income tax, a sharp rise from the current £12,570. Party leader Richard Tice said the plan would boost the economy and put an end to the “gross negligence” of the BoE, which pays tens of billions of pounds annually to banks as part of its quantitative easing programme, which is funded by taxpayers. “This is real money, your money, being used to enrich the City of London,” Tice told a news conference.
