YouTube star Ben Potter has died at the age of 40 as a result of what his wife Nathalie Potter described as an “unfortunate accident”.

“Two days ago, on June 8th, my husband Ben Potter passed away in a unfortunate accident,” Nathalie said in a statement on Comicstorian’s Twitter page.

She mentioned his work as a content creator, saying, “For many of you, he was a comics storyteller who gave voice to stories from many different media.”

“To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most helpful people anyone could wish for.”

Nathalie mentioned her late husband’s “loving and sincere” nature “as a husband, son, brother, friend or simply as a stranger”.

“I ask that you respect my privacy as well as that of everyone else. Right now, my priority is to preserve everything he has built and I have no further plans.

The late content creator’s wife said his YouTube channel was “one of his greatest achievements” and she plans to continue it in due course.

“We all need time to grieve, but I know he wouldn’t have wanted it to end this way,” she said. “Ben spent over 10 years spreading his love and appreciation for his hobbies.”

“His love of exciting stories and well-written characters is what got him started on YouTube.”
