Police investigate after shooting in Henrico County apartment

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico police said an investigation is ongoing after a bullet was fired through a wall into an apartment, but authorities believe “no ongoing threat to the community is apparent.”

Officers called to a reported shooting in the 3800 block of Delmont Street on Monday were told a single bullet entered an apartment in the area through the wall, according to Henrico police.

According to police, the bullet caused “only minor property damage.”

“It is believed this is an isolated, non-targeted incident and there is no apparent ongoing threat to the community,” Henrico police said in an email.

The investigation is ongoing.
