NYPD: Manhunt underway for suspected attempted rapist on blue scooter from the Bronx

WOODLAWN, Bronx (PIX11) – Authorities say police are searching for a man accused of attempted rape in the Bronx on Saturday.

Miguel Rivera, 45, is wanted in connection with the attempted sexual assault, according to the NYPD. At around 1:30 a.m., a 26-year-old woman was attacked from behind by someone who put her in a chokehold and dragged her to the ground, police said.

According to police, the suspect fled on a blue scooter.

The woman was treated for minor injuries, police said.
