Man arrested for shooting ex-girlfriend twice on West Side, SAPD says

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a man accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend twice on the West Side.

The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. Monday in the 7600 block of Culebra Road.

The woman could not be found upon arrival. She was eventually found at McDonald’s with a gunshot wound to her hand and thigh, police said.

The woman told police she was driving to avoid a man she had previously dated.

At some point the man stepped on the brakes, causing the woman to crash into the back of his vehicle.

The woman then drove through a CVS parking lot and the man fired several shots at her vehicle, according to SAPD.

According to police, the woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

While officers were driving to the man’s address, he contacted SAPD to report a car accident involving his ex-girlfriend, officers said.

The man was later taken into police custody without further incident, the SAPD said.
