Woman allegedly attacked by man with hammer

A woman reported to Omaha police that she was stabbed and attacked with a hammer by her date Sunday night. At around 11 p.m., officers responded to the Kum & Go near West Maple Road and Emmet Street for a reported incident, according to a police report. The woman who was seriously injured told officers she had arranged to meet a man on a date in the parking lot of the soccer field at Tranquility Park near 120th Street and West Maple Road, according to the police report. The victim said she hit him in the head and was able to pull him out of her vehicle before driving away, according to the police report. The incident remains under investigation.
