Driver dead, passengers injured in single-vehicle crash against mast

WE ARE FOLLOWING THIS RIGHT AHEAD AND WEATHERWATCH 12. THANKS LINDSEY. WE HAVE BREAKING NEWS. FIRST THIS MORNING A 21-YEAR-OLD IS DEAD AFTER A CAR CRASHED INTO A POLE IN MILWAUKEE. POLICE SAY THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT JUST BEFORE 10:00 PM. ACCORDING TO THE MPD THE DRIVER WAS SPEEDING VERY FAST DOWN APPLETON AVENUE AND LOST CONTROL, WHICH DIED AT THE SCENE. EMTS TAKEN THREE OTHER PEOPLE IN THAT CAR TO A HOSPITAL. ALL HAVE SERIOUS INJURIES. THE CAR CRASHED INTO A POLE NEAR 91ST AND APPLETON, WHICH IS NEAR TIMMERMA

A 21-year-old died and three others were injured when a car crashed into a pole in Milwaukee on Sunday night. Milwaukee police said the crash occurred just before 10 p.m. Sunday at the corner of 91st Street and Appleton Avenue near Timmerman Airport. According to police, the driver was traveling eastbound on Appleton Avenue at a high rate of speed when he or she lost control of the car. The driver died at the scene.
