My experience with The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

Although The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2, also known as: The book Carol will not be broadcast until September, I was able to see the premiere in New York City during the Tribeca Festival together with other fans. Together with my husband and friends we ventured into the city once again and enjoyed our third TWD Spin-off premiere.

Although it may sound like small things, we all noticed a few things. First and foremost, The Walking Dead: The Survivors Premiere, there was no red carpet.

That was a shame considering that this was the second TWD Premiere at the Tribeca Festival (the first was The Walking Dead: Dead City) and the world premiere. That is, we didn’t see any press or cast until the premiere was over.

Also, this was the least attended premiere of the three I attended. Dead CityAside from the crazy crowds and excitement on the red carpet, you were given tickets with your seat number on them upon presentation of proof of your ticket purchase.

The Beacon Theatre was packed! As far as I could see, there wasn’t a single empty seat.

The Walking Dead: The Survivors had assigned seats that could be selected when purchasing tickets. The entire theater at 92NY was also full.

For The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol We purchased the tickets online, but were not assigned seats. After entering the theater, we chose our seats behind the rows of reserved seats at the Indeed Theater at Spring Studios.

Although it wasn’t nearly as big as the Beacon Theater, there were still seats available. So many that the reserved seating area was opened to everyone before the premiere even began.

Aside from that, the security staff and especially the people working at the premiere were extremely helpful and friendly. We lined up outside the theater just before 6:30 p.m., facing the setting sun.

As a little refreshment, the Starbucks team gave us Pink Lemonade. Thank you!

Inside, we took the elevators to the cinema floor and took our seats and enjoyed the first episode of TWD: Daryl Dixon Season 2. I won’t give away any specific details from the episode, but suffice it to say that it was a promising start to a new season.

We jump back and forth between Carol’s search for Daryl and Daryl’s current situation at the nest in Mont Saint-Michel. Carol’s old habits return, for better or for worse, as do Daryl’s.

But it seems that both have benefited from these habits in their own way. There is a conspiracy brewing and I am curious to see what unexpected twist will come to light.

The panel after the episode consisted of our main actors Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Melissa McBride (Carol), who, along with David Zabel and Scott M. Gimble, had difficulty answering all of Dalton Ross’ questions. Which means that, unlike Dead City And Those who livethere was no section of the panel with questions from the audience.

There was a lot of laughter and stumbling, but when the panel ended, fans flocked to the stage in the hope of taking a photo of the performers or getting their autographs. So far TWD Spinoff was impressive in separating themselves from each other and the flagship series The Walking Dead.

Some fans may prefer one spin-off over the other, some may even feel more connected to certain characters than others. But will these three spin-offs be connected, and if so, when?
