APC suspends several party leaders in Abia

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended some party members in Aba North Local Government Area of ​​Abia State.

The suspended members were accused of gross misconduct, indiscipline and identity fraud.

The suspension notice was received by stakeholders of the Aba North branch of the local government of the Congress of all progressives (APC) and has sparked controversy since its emergence on social media.

The decision to sack the chiefs was communicated in a letter dated June 5, 2024, addressed to the Chairman of the state APC. Kingsley Ononogbuafter an expanded meeting of party representatives in Aba, where the suspension was unanimously approved.

The suspension letter to the state chairman, signed by the chairman of the party in Abia North Local Government, Tony Anuforo, also contained the documents signed after the local government stakeholders meeting confirming the suspension of the party leaders.

Those suspended include Comrade Uche Moses (Ward 1 of Eziama), Mr. Uzoma Nwogu (Ward 8 of Umuola) and Mr. Uhiara Humphrey (Ward 4).

At the time of writing, the party’s state chapter had not yet issued an official statement on the suspension of its leader by the Aba North party leadership.

No member of the suspended APC shareholders in Aba North has made an official statement on their suspension from the party.
