Houston man pleads guilty to murder after hiding missing wife’s body in freezer in 2020

HOUSTON – A man has pleaded guilty to murder in the death of his then-29-year-old wife, whose body was found in a freezer in 2020.

Investigators said Curtis Allen Holliday, 62, killed his wife, Chi Thi Lien Le, who had been missing since April 3, 2020.

Curtis Allen Holliday was sentenced Monday morning to 10 years in prison. He will be officially sentenced on July 19.

What happened

Initially, Holliday was booked into the Harris County Jail on May 5, 20202 after being charged with violating bail under a protection order and continued violence against a family member. There he was questioned by investigators about his wife’s disappearance.

A search of Holliday’s place of business in the 5800 block of West Sam Houston Parkway North was conducted and investigators found Le’s remains in a commercial freezer on the property.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences ruled Le’s death a homicide, and investigators filed murder charges against her husband.
