Poughkeepsie Police Investigate Shooting on Main Street

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (NEWS10) — Poughkeepsie City Police announced they are investigating a shooting that occurred on June 8. One victim was injured in the incident.

At around 11:44 a.m. Saturday morning, officers responded to Main Street and North White Street after shots were fired. A short time later, a local hospital reported to police that a 22-year-old man was being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm after arriving in a private vehicle.


During a search of the area, police were able to find several cartridge cases at the crime scene. Investigators were assisted by a canine unit from the Poughkeepsie Police Department.
