Woman attacked while sleeping in her Long Island home: NCPD

LEVITTOWN, Long Island (PIX11) – A woman was attacked while she slept in her Long Island home Sunday, according to Nassau County police.

Officers arrived at the Levittown home around 2:30 a.m. for a possible burglary. According to authorities, the 64-year-old victim stated that she was awakened by a person hitting her in the face with an unknown object.


She was taken to a local hospital for her injuries, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
