Cleveland City Hall closed due to cybersecurity incident

CLEVELAND (NBC, KYMA/KECY) – Cleveland City Hall will remain closed Monday due to what a city spokesman called a “cyber incident.”

The same city officials say the full extent of the threat is currently being investigated and the closure is a precautionary measure.

The city did not specifically disclose which system or systems were affected, but said all internal software platforms will be shut down while the incident is investigated.

However, essential services such as 911, fire department, ambulance service, public utilities and port control are not affected.
