1 dead after police-involved shooting in Arlington – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Arlington police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left one person dead Sunday evening.

According to police, the incident occurred late Sunday evening in a city park in the 6500 block of South Cooper Street.

According to initial reports, officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call at the time of the incident.

Police later confirmed that an adult man was dead and no police officer was injured.

The person killed was later identified as 42-year-old Shannon Boyd of Irving.

Arlington police said they will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. Monday morning to provide more information on the shooting.
