Cabool Police: Work accidents and incidents involving officers

Cabool Police have been responding to calls and incidents over the past week, including one accident.

The department reported 15 traffic stops that resulted in the issuance of 11 citations.

On Sunday, June 9, Gary Robert of Willow Springs was driving a 2023 Chevrolet east on U.S. 60 at 3:55 p.m. when he veered off the left side of the road and struck a sign while trying to avoid another driver who was changing lanes, authorities said. No injuries were reported.

In total, police handled one accident, two alarms, ten animal complaints, one assault, two civil cases, one juvenile case, four mental illness cases, one disturbance, one theft/larceny, two suspicious activity cases, assisted other agencies eight times, provided a private escort, and assisted the public once.

The fire brigade was called out 13 times.
