Boston, MA Patrick Mendoza arrested again after cutting GPS monitor – NBC Boston

The owner of a North End restaurant who was charged in connection with a shooting last year near a popular bakery was arrested again over the weekend, police said.

Patrick Mendoza, 55, turned off his GPS monitor on Saturday because he was “fed up and fed up with it,” according to a Boston police report.

Police said officers managed to arrest Mendoza in his apartment without incident.

During booking, Mendoza said, according to police, that he would “definitely kill someone.”

A video shows the moment a man opens fire in front of Modern Pastry; police are searching for Patrick Mendoza of Boston, who is wanted for assault with a dangerous weapon, among other things.

The police report states that Mendoza has been “going through something” recently and has been exhibiting erratic behavior. He is also “extremely stressed because of the criminal case pending against him.”

The 55-year-old is accused of several charges, including carrying a firearm without an FID card, carrying a loaded firearm without a permit and attempted murder.

On July 12, 2023, Mendoza was riding his bicycle down Hanover Street when he saw the victim and began uttering threats such as “I’ll get you” and “I’m going to kill you (profanity)! It’s going to happen fast,” according to court documents.

Mendoza then pulled out a revolver and the victim fled, taking cover behind parked vehicles and Mendoza shot him three times, according to authorities.

The shots narrowly missed the victim and hit the window of Modern Pastry, authorities said.

Mendoza pleaded not guilty to the charges against him in October.
