Rape case: Main accused arrested in minor girl rape case | Allahabad News

Prayagraj: In a major breakthrough, a joint team of Kokhraj and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Kaushambi police on Sunday arrested the main accused in the rape of a minor girl case. The arrested man was identified as Devendra Mishra (45), a resident of Pashchim Sarira near Teri Turn when he tried to flee. The accused was the principal of a private school. A video in which the main accused is seen molesting the minor girl went viral on social media on June 6 and the police filed a complaint under sections 376,504,506,120 B and 228 A of the IPC and sections 16 and 17 of the POCSO Act. SP, Kaushambi, Brijesh Kumar Srivastava formed five special police teams to ensure the arrest of the main accused. Police had arrested another man named Raju on Saturday for allegedly making the video go viral on social media.
