Fatal motorcycle crash on Primrose Lane is under investigation in Murray County

MURRAY COUNTY (KOKH) – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) is investigating a single motorcycle accident in Murray County.

According to OHP, around 6:49 p.m. Sunday, 27-year-old Payne Z. Sorrells wrecked a 2006 Suzuki GSXR1000 with a passenger on board on Primrose Lane about a mile south of Davis.

Officials said the passenger, 25-year-old Courtney L. Sorrells, was pronounced dead at the scene from a head injury.

Payne left the scene without injuries.

Hale’s Funeral Home transported Courtney to Oklahoma State ME in Oklahoma City.

Payne and Courtney are from Sulfur.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
