Boy and woman injured in West Pullman shooting, Chicago police say – NBC Chicago

A woman and a teenager were injured in a shooting in the West Pullman neighborhood on Chicago’s far south side on Sunday evening, authorities said.

The shooting was reported to police around 6:37 p.m. in the 11800 block of South Michigan. The two victims were standing on the sidewalk with other people when someone in a vehicle fired shots, police said.

The 14-year-old boy was shot in the leg and was hospitalized in good condition. The second victim, a 55-year-old woman, also suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg and was reportedly in good condition.

The circumstances of the incident were still being investigated late Sunday.

No one was taken into custody.
