Coroner: 26-year-old man died after drowning in Houston County swimming pool FR24 News English

The drowning happened Sunday in a swimming pool in Elko.

ELKO, Ga. (41NBC/WMGT) – A 26-year-old man has died after drowning in a Houston County swimming pool, according to Houston County Coroner James Williams.

The man drowned in a swimming pool in the 2400 block of Elko Road in Elko around 3:45 p.m.

According to the coroner, the man was removed from the pool by first responders and transported to Houston Healthcare in Perry. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The man was identified as Ariel Jones of Columbus, Ohio.
