Morris Park: Police launch murder investigation after man fatally shot

The NYPD said a man died after a fatal shooting in Morris Park.

Police said officers from the 49th Precinct responded to a 911 call about a man shot near Sacket Avenue and Williamsbridge Road at around 5:37 p.m. on Sunday, June 9.

“Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified male suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and chest,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded to the scene and transported the unidentified male to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.”

Police said no arrests have been made at this time and investigations are ongoing.

As reported, police were spotted investigating earlier on Sunday after a 66-year-old man was found dead with numerous stab wounds to his body, including one to the neck, at Williamsbridge Oval Park in Norwood.
