Forest fire alert: Pioneer fire burns down Uplake

Pioneer Fire status updated by Chelan County Sheriff’s Office – Sunday afternoon, June 9

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 1 fire warning for the north shore of Lake Chelan between Canoe Creek and Meadow Creek. A Level 3 evacuation is in effect for the Rex Creek area.

The Lakeshore Trail is closed between Prince Creek and Meadow Creek. Due to fire danger, do not hike in this area. This area is remote and accessible only by boat. It is located approximately 31 miles upstream from Chelan.
