Softball Game Recap: Houston Suffers Loss

It was a good series, but Houston unfortunately saw the end of its four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They found themselves just ahead of the Anna Rockets with a score of 2-1. Houston got a dose of its own medicine in this game as Anna apparently hadn’t forgotten her loss the last time these teams played last Monday.

For Anna, Taylor Dye spent all seven innings on the mound, and the reason was clear: she allowed one run (unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Brenna Cobb was incredible, going 4 for 4 with a home run, two doubles and a stolen base. She’s on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she’s now stolen at least one in the last three games she’s played.

Houston’s loss dropped their record to 5-4. As for Anna, their victory brought their record to 9-14-2.

Houston has no more games scheduled at this time. As for Anna, they will stay on the road Saturday to face Botkins at 11:00 a.m.
