Hopkins Police issue emergency alert in search of missing 4-year-old boy who cannot speak

Authorities issued an emergency alert Sunday asking for help in locating a four-year-old boy last seen in Hopkins.

The boy is black, about 1.15 meters tall and weighs 18 kilos. He has short, curly black hair. According to the warning, he is autistic and does not speak. He is said to be wearing blue pajama pants.

He was last seen around 7:30 a.m. Sunday near the Chorus Apartments in Hopkins, the report said. The missing boy is easily frightened by noise and may be attracted to water.

Hopkins police and their agencies are currently actively searching for the boy in the area of ​​Blake Road N. and Second Street NE. Police say they are using boats and sniffer dogs. In a Facebook post, Hopkins police asked the public to stay away from the area to facilitate the search. All residents in the area are asked to check their property for any signs of the child.

The alert asks anyone with information to call 911 immediately.
