Detectives investigate Shell gas station robbery in Newark – Delaware State Police

Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early yesterday morning at a Shell gas station in Newark.

On June 8, 2024, at approximately 5:07 a.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Shell gas station located at 1148 Christiana Road in Newark. Preliminary investigation revealed that three unknown suspects drove a white van into the front glass of the gas station while the station was open. The suspects then approached a Shell employee and ordered him to open the cash registers. The employee complied and the suspects fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

The suspects are described as unknown men wearing dark clothing. Surveillance videos and images are not yet available.

The Delaware State Police 2nd Troop Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Detective K.
