1 dead and 2 injured after train-car collision in Knox County.

EMISON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – An 18-year-old was killed and two other teens were injured when a train struck a car in Knox County Sunday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Noah Strange was driving an SUV while attempting to cross railroad tracks just after 12:00 p.m. when the car was struck by a southbound train on Joseph Emison Road. Strange was killed in the crash, and the other two occupants of the car were taken to Good Samaritan in serious condition.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
