WWE star attacked before championship fight

Before his NXT Championship match at NXT Battleground, WWE star Ethan Page was again attacked by Oro Mensah.

On the May 28 edition of WWE NXT, former AEW star Ethan Page made his surprise debut by attacking NXT Champion Trick Williams.

After the attack, Page revealed that he was behind the backstage beating of Meta Four’s Noam Dar and Oro Mensah.

This led to “All Ego” signing his WWE contract on the June 4 episode, where it was revealed that his contract included an NXT Championship match. After the show ended, Mensah attacked Page.

In a social media post, WWE shared a video of Ethan Page arriving in Las Vegas for Battleground, where Oro Mensah attacked him outside the building and was separated by officials. The caption reads:

When I arrived at the hotel yesterday afternoon, @OfficialEGO was attacked again by Meta-Four. @OroMensah_wwe

Mensah retweeted the video and sent Page a message saying he would not escape these attacks. He wrote:

I don’t care if it’s Orlando, Vegas, Accra, Zurich or Ontario, you won’t escape me…

Meanwhile, Mensah’s Meta Four colleague Noam Dar also shared the post and wrote:

Please, don’t mess with M4 anymore

Ethan Page will challenge Trick Williams for the NXT Championship tonight at the NXT Battleground Premium Live event. The full lineup for the show can be found here.
