POCSO case filed against actor Koottickal Jayachandran for sexually abusing a four-year-old girl – KERALA – CRIME

KOZHIKODE: A case has been registered against actor Koottickal Jayachandran for sexually abusing a four-year-old girl. The girl’s mother lodged a complaint with the Kasaba police. A case was registered soon after.

In her complaint, the woman stated that he sexually abused her after taking advantage of her family problems. Soon after the complaint was filed, the police recorded the statement after arriving at her home. The police recorded the statement of the child as per the instructions of the district child protection unit.

Koottickal Jayachandran, who started his career as a television presenter, gained a lot of attention. He has acted in many films.

Meanwhile, the police had recently arrested an ex-soldier for attempting to sexually abuse a 17-year-old boy. The arrested man is identified as Sivakumar, a native of Vayakkal and runs an army recruitment training institute. The case is that Shivakumar had attempted to abuse the student who had come for army training.

He tried to abuse the boy at Major Academy in Anchal Alencheri after calling him there. The boy pushed him and fled from there. He then informed the nearby petrol pump. Yeroor police arrested him and handed him over to Anchal police. The accused was arrested and remanded on charges of POCSO and violence against Dalits.
