Arkansas couple arrested for murder in Lee County

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – A Marianna, Arkansas couple has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a woman in May.

The Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division arrested 24-year-old Dodge Pinegar and 30-year-old Shadee Edgin on June 7 in the death of Ashley Monroe, a 30-year-old woman from Lexa, Arkansas.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office asked ASP to investigate the homicide on Tuesday, May 21.

A local farmer reported finding the body of a woman on a dirt road off Lee County Road 706 north of Marianna. The woman was later identified as Monroe.
