A woman was found dead in her home after a shooting in Kansas City, Kansas, on Tuesday evening

A woman died after a shooting Tuesday night in Kansas City, Kansas.

Officers responded to the 1900 block of North Hallock Street around 11:44 p.m. after a man entered the emergency room at the University of Kansas Medical Center and told police he had killed someone, according to Officer TJ Tomasic, a Kansas City spokesman. Kansas Police Department.

When police arrived in North Hallock, they found a dead woman who had been shot inside a home, Tomasic said.

The man police found in the emergency room is in custody.

According to police, the murder was the 10th homicide in Kansas City, Kansas, this year. There were seven murders this time last year.
