Broad River Greenway closed due to suspected drowning incident

BOILING SPRINGS, NC – The Broad River Greenway in Boiling Springs is temporarily closed due to a possible drowning accident.

Rescue workers were informed about the drowning incident on Saturday. Crews were on site to conduct an extensive search and coordinate rescue.

“We understand that the Greenway is a valued community space and this closure may cause inconvenience,” the Broad River Greenway said in a Facebook post. “However, the safety of our visitors and the effectiveness of rescue efforts are our top priority.”

The Greenway is now closed to the public until further notice.
