Alton resident injured in Interstate 70 crash | Local news

An Alton woman suffered moderate injuries in a rear-end collision in St. Louis County Friday afternoon.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 39-year-old Marqueta Goins was traveling east on Interstate 70 near Route 141 when her car was struck by a vehicle traveling too fast for the conditions. That car reportedly failed to slow down due to the traffic congestion, damaging at least four other vehicles in the process.

According to police, Pattonville EMS took Goins to a hospital for treatment.

Two other drivers also suffered moderate injuries in the accident.
