Tragedy in Udhampur: Two underage girls allegedly raped in the forest

UDHAMPUR: In a disturbing incident in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, two minor girls were allegedly raped by two men in a remote forest area.

The suspects, identified as Dalip Kumar and Ravinder Kumar, both residents of Panchound, are said to have approached the victims on their way home from a school picnic.

According to police sources, the 16 and 17-year-old girls were found unconscious the next morning and were immediately taken to Ramnagar Sub-District Hospital for medical treatment.

A police spokesman said that the accused initially fled the scene but were later arrested by special police teams dispatched from several directions.

The authorities have registered a case under the relevant law at the local police station and investigations are ongoing to uncover further details of this tragic incident.
