Three injured after two shark attacks in Florida

AAccording to several reports, at least two shark attacks were reported in Walton County, Floridain which at least three people were injured. According to police reports, the attacks occurred last Friday.

According to a post by St. Luke’s Birmingham, at least two of the victims were identified as Lulu Gribbin and McCray Faust, both of Birmingham, Alabama. The media has not yet identified the third victim.

This is how the shark attacks happened

According to authorities, the first attack occurred on Friday at around 1:45 p.m. A 45-year-old woman was attacked by the shark while swimming at Watersound Beach. The bites caused significant injuries to her pelvis and abdomen, as well as amputation of the lower part of her left arm. The woman’s condition is critical.

The second attack, believed to have killed Gribbin and Faust, occurred the same day at Seacrest Beach at around 2:56 p.m., about 4 miles from where the first incident was reported.

The first victim suffered injuries to his upper and lower extremities and had to be strapped with a tourniquet to prevent blood loss, while the other victim suffered bites to his right foot. Both are currently in stable condition.

Following the attacks, Panama City Beach Police and the Bay County Sheriff’s Office conducted an aerial inspection of the area and found a high presence of bull sharks near the incidents. For this reason, the beach remains closed.
