Amber Alert triggered after two women found dead and a child injured in a New Mexico park

Police in New Mexico issued an Amber alert after two women were found dead in a park near Clovis and a 10-month-old baby was reported missing on Friday.

Investigators believe the baby, Eleia Maria Torres, the daughter of one of the shooting victims, was abducted by the perpetrator at the time of the shooting and is in immediate danger. Police described Eleia as 71 cm tall and weighing 10 kg. She has brown eyes and brown hair.

An Amber warning for Eleia was active Saturday morning.

Two women found dead, child injured in Ned Houk Park

Police were called to Ned Houk Park north of Clovis, New Mexico, around 4:30 p.m. Friday by a person who found two women dead. Officers who responded found the victims on the ground next to a silver Dodge minivan with gunshot wounds to their bodies, police said.

Officers also found a young girl with a gunshot wound to the head at the crime scene.

Police treated the child until emergency services arrived on the scene and took him to a hospital.

There was no immediate information on the girl’s condition.

Police identify shooting victim

The two women were identified as Taryn Allen, 23, and Samantha Cisneros, 23. Both women were from Texico, New Mexico, about 10 miles east of Clovis. Officers found a stroller, bottle and car seat at the scene.

Eleia is Cisneros’ daughter, police said.
