Person shot in Snellville, Gwinnett police say

SNELLVILLE, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – One person was shot and killed in Snellville, according to Gwinnett County Police.

Police said the shooting happened at 3541 Stone Mountain Hwy in unincorporated Snellville. Officers responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m. and found a woman dead from a gunshot wound.

According to police, bystanders had already “subdued” the shooter by the time officers arrived.

Police said the shooter and the victim knew each other, but did not know what led to the shooting.
