Man dies after shooting in Chesapeake, police confirm

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A man is dead after a shooting in Chesapeake. The shooting occurred Saturday night just before 6:43 p.m.

Chesapeake Police were alerted to an injured man near the 1100 block of Sir Lancelot Dr. When they arrived on the scene, they found a man shot. Paramedics took him to a nearby hospital for serious injuries.

The man succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

This incident is currently under investigation.
