Man shot, more than five people stabbed in brawl at Lake Berryessa: police

A man was shot and at least five people were stabbed in a large brawl on the shores of Lake Berryessa Saturday night, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office said.

On Saturday evening, the police did not reveal the name of the dead man or his place of residence.

“There were several victims who were stabbed,” said Henry Wofford, spokesman for the sheriff’s office. “We don’t have an exact number at this time. To my knowledge, there are certainly more than five who were stabbed.”

Two people with stab wounds were flown by helicopter to local hospitals in serious condition, Wofford said. Other stabbing victims were driven to hospitals by friends or family members, he added.

“We are actually in the hospital emergency rooms … looking for witnesses and victims,” ​​Wofford said at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, adding that officers were still on site and speaking with witnesses.
