1 pedestrian killed, 1 seriously injured in Dunn accident

DUNN, N.C. (WTVD) – One person is dead and another seriously injured in an accident involving pedestrians on Saturday evening.

Emergency crews responded to calls for an accident involving two pedestrians just before 9:45 p.m. on Meadowlark Road.

When officers arrived, they found a pickup truck across the street with the front facing the ditch. ABC11 crews said the truck was heavily damaged.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was taken to hospital in critical condition.

There is no information yet about the driver’s condition.
