Man arrested for raping his 14-year-old daughter in Boljoon, Cebu

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu – A 14-year-old daughter was allegedly raped by her own father at around 1 a.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2024 in Barangay Granada, Boljoon City, Southern Cebu.

The suspect was identified as a 38-year-old man who lives at the said location.

According to Police Corporal Charlito Logroño, duty officer of the Boljoon Police Station, the suspect was drunk after attending a fiesta celebration.

The daughter accompanied her father to the party.

However, when they wanted to go home, the father forcibly took his daughter to a remote place where he raped his own daughter.

“When they reached a remote area, the father grabbed her (the daughter) by the right arm and raped her against her will,” Logroño said.

When they returned home, the victim told her mother what had happened and immediately took her daughter to the Boljoon Police Station.

The police responded immediately and arrested the suspect in his home.

Currently, the victim has been taken to the pink room of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) for medical examination.

The police are now preparing to file charges against the suspect. /clorenciana
